報告人簡介：
Leo Ernst is currently Emeritus Professor
in Mechanics of Materials of the Delft University of Technology, The
Netherlands. He received his Ph.D.
degree in Technical Sciences from the Delft University of Technology in May
1981. Since then he held various industrial and scientific positions and has
been a Professor in Mechanics of Materials from 1986.
As a professor in “Mechanics of Materials”
he has explored several application areas such as non-linear shell theory,
numerical methods, fracture mechanics and materials modeling and
characterization.
Research in the past 20 years was focused
more and more towards “Mechanics of Microelectronics” related problems, such
as: thin-film mechanics, cure-temperature-humidity related modeling of
constitutive behavior of packaging polymers and polymer-substrate interface
mechanics.
He has authored and co-authored more than
300 scientific and professional publications in the very specialized fields of
Mechanics of Materials and Mechanics of Microelectronics.
He has been active in the
organizing- and technical committees of various conferences in the field of
Mechanics of Microelectronics (ECTC, EPTC, ESTC, EMPC, EuroSIME). For the
EuroSIME conferences, on “Thermal, mechanical and multi-physics simulation and
experiments in micro-electronics and micro-systems”, he acted as the Technical
Chair until 2011. Currently, he is acting as a Research Consultant for various
microelectronic industries.
